Ambrosial Teachings - II

What is God? : After their research saints have said that God is the name of state of life. A perfect master first initiates the seeker who is ripe. He is shown the way in, following which he rises above pain-pleasure, gain-loss, life-death, honour-dishonour etc. The intellect cannot reach this stage. One gets into harmony and is flooded with bliss. All the limits are crossed. The body doesn't remain the body but turns into the form of Truth. This destination or state has been described by saints as Ishwar, Allah, Khuda, Vaheguru, Sat pad, Shiv pad, Nirvan, Bodh and many other names.

The Mission of God's Men : The saints look at all as equal. They say that one should turn to serving others, give up seeking one's own pleasure, and as far as possible bring joy to others. The mission of all God's men has been the same. They remained absorbed in God's love. It is their followers who have created many religions. Just consider how foolish is to hate others.

What is DHARMA? : Dharma is the disposition to purity by adopting which the mind turns away from attributes and towards the One Absolute. Supreme peace can be gained in this life itself and the only way is to give up the love of body, mind and wealth.

Forgetting God : Forgetting one God , man gets caught in all kinds of worry and tension. Without faith in God, how can the mind be still.
Lakhs of material things are being produced everyday to excite the mind. But no substance of this world can satisfy this mind. Cut down your wants and adopt simplicity. When you keep your food and clothing simple, there will be a lesser effort involved. The mind will quieten down with the help of God remembrance. Those who are lured by the brilliance and splendour of the world are foolish people. The foremost task of man is to resolve the conflict growing within. To purify his inner self and try to know the life-giving soul which is within this body.

The True Purpose of Life : The mind, under the influence of senses and desires, performs actions good or bad. Their consequences appear to one in the orm of pain or pleasure. This is the theater of life. The soul finds rest only when rising above the ego, it recognises the Eternal being. Being aware of the impermanence of the body one is not attracted by pleasures. The results of the actions of all bodies is within the will of the Lord. The name of the Lord frees one from all desires. With the small self annihilated, one gets absorbed in the unmanifest within. This state is variously described by the wise as eternal peace, freedom, sameness or enlightenment. The search for this indestructible state is the true purpose of life.
